Bankstown

Bankstown College has been providing vocational education and training for over 50 years. Each year, more than 8,000 students enrol in over 100 courses at this college. The college is located within walking distance to the Bankstown town centre and train station with bus stops on its doorstep and has a great reputation for producing high quality graduates.

To service the area's ethnically and socially diverse population, the college has built a strong reputation for delivering community services courses and pre-vocational education and training, from basic literacy to university entry.

Bankstown College has strong links with local and international industries, communities and schools.

We also provide specialist qualifications in environmental science and sustainability studies and are a major provider of off-the-job training for the banking and finance industry.

Set among landscaped grounds in a pleasant environment, Campbelltown College is the major training provider in the Macarthur region. It provides vocational education and training to over 7500 students in 100+ courses each year. Granville

Established in 1884, historic Granville College is SWSi's largest college training over 15,000 students in more than 250 diverse courses each year.

We are located in the multicultural suburb of Granville and have close links to bus and rail services and the Parramatta business district.

Lidcombe

Lidcombe College is located a short distance from Lidcombe train station and Bankstown town centre with around 6,500 students enrolling in over 50 courses each year. We are one of nine South Western Sydney Institute colleges that provide high quality vocational education and training opportunities in the region, and we have built sold relationships with industry and community organisations.

In additional to our general college facilities, Lidcombe is also home to a number of specialist State Centres for Training in areas such as:

  • Furniture Finishing
  • Upholstery
  • Plastering, and
  • Glass and Glazing.
These centres are fully equipped and resourced to provide a range of quality training programs to domestic and international students and industry clients.

We also have facilities for our award-winning Lidcombe Design students who are studying product and furniture design or interior design and decoration and a large exhibition space to showcase their works.

A Cisco Instruction Training Centre (ICT) is located on campus for learners interested in completing the Cisco Systems Networking Academy Program . The program is a preparatory course that prepares learners for the CCNA examination (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) in a mixed delivery mode which includes mini-lectures, teacher-assisted on-line learning using Cisco Multimedia Courseware and practical excercises.
Another important part of Lidcombe College is the Chullora campus located in nearby Chullora business district.
The Chullora campus of Lidcombe College houses the Building and Training Centre with all the latest technology to train you in your chosen field.

Liverpool

Liverpool College is another SWSi college brimming with history, with a number of significant buildings designed by the convict architect Francis Greenway, dating back to 1813.

Over 7,000 students attend Liverpool College each year to update their skills, gain a promotion at work, learn specialist skills, or set out on a new career path altogether.

Located close to the main suburban bus and train system, the college is easily accessible with experienced and qualified professional staff to help you achieve your educational and career goals. We have state-of-the-art facilities including onsite training hairdressing and beauty salons open to the public, and we currently host the University of Western Sydney’s Medical School.

Our student population is multicultural and varied, and includes high school students, apprentices and trainees, mature students and international students who are advancing their chosen careers or exploring the opportunities that are provided by our courses. Others are building bridges to further education and employment through specific programs or Outreach courses.

We also offer a number of pathways from TAFE to university including:

Macquarie Fields

Macquarie Fields College was established in 1978 and enrols over 3,000 students each year in approximately 100 different courses across a variety of industry areas.

We are located close to the M5 and M7 freeways with close links to Glenfield railway station and we have state-of-the-art computing facilities with a networking laboratory accredited as a Cisco Local Academy, onsite beauty salons and brand new fitness facilities including a gym and student-run massage clinic that is open to the public.

The Cisco Academy located on campus is for learners interested in completing the Cisco Systems Networking Academy Program . The program is a preparatory course that prepares learners for the CCNA examination (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) in a mixed delivery mode which includes mini-lectures, teacher-assisted on-line learning using Cisco Multimedia courseware and practical excercises.

The College also encompasses the nearby Macarthur Building Industry Skills Centre (MBISC) located at 2 Austool Place in the nearby industrial precinct of Ingleburn.

Miller

Miller College was established in 1977 and enrols over 6500 students each year in a range of courses.

Located near the intersection of the M5, the M7 and the Hume Highway, we are easy to get to by walking, cycling and public transport. We are a 20 minute bicycle ride from Liverpool Station or about 200 metres walk from the Miller bus stop on the T-Way.

In addition to the traditional trade areas of:

  • carpentry
  • plumbing
  • engineering and electrical
  • bricklaying and stonemasonry
we also run classes in a wide variety of other course areas including:
  • business administration
  • children's education and care
  • english for speakers of other languages (ESOL)
  • information technology
  • legal studies

We have a Centre of Excellence in Stonemasonry on campus and are the only TAFE college to offer the course in NSW and the ACT. Padstow

Padstow College was opened in 1981 in landscaped surroundings formerly occupied by market gardens.

Conveniently located only a 10 minute walk from suburban rail system and less than a five minute drive from the M5 motorway, the college provides vocational training in the areas of:

The college is a metropolitan Centre of Excellence for Horticulture, encompassing:
