TAFE NSW is opening its doors from 16-20 January to showcase its innovative approach to high-quality education and training that enables students to get jobs and careers for the future.

TAFE NSW – South Western Sydney Institute (SWSi) will be joining with nine other TAFE institutes across more than 130 campuses throughout NSW, to collectively highlight TAFE NSW’s extensive facilities, course offerings, employer partnerships, world-class training and technology. Students will be able to talk to graduates and discuss job opportunities.

Open Week will be the first time TAFE NSW holds a collaborative state-wide event that is expected to attract more than 40,000 people. The week will feature live activations and demonstrations as well as interactive signature events, such as animal care students working at a wildlife sanctuary and hospital, a virtual band rehearsal enabling interaction with recording artists, games development and a robotics demonstration, all of which will be live-streamed through Facebook.

Peter Roberts, Institute Director of TAFE SWSi said, “Whether you’re looking for a career in technology, fashion, horticulture, aged care or construction, come and discover TAFE NSW’s vast array of courses, of which there are more than 1,200 from certificates to degrees. This is a great opportunity to receive one-on-one course advice, meet teachers, see live demonstrations, go on campus tours and learn how TAFE NSW, the State’s leading education and skills training provider, can help secure you a job and find a career you love.”

“The world is changing and TAFE NSW is evolving with it. We are investing in the future of education with innovative technology for learning which ensures our students are job-ready wherever they live or work,” he said.

During Open Week, TAFE SWSi’s signature event will give future students a chance to explore hot-course option, get career advice and take part in fun workshops and hands-on activities.
